About Hala Salon

Hala began her career at a retail makeup counter utilizing her outstanding skills in makeup application. She did her apprenticeship at a popular hair salon on the south side of Birmingham. During that time, she was sought out by several television and video production companies to apply makeup and hair for their productions and quickly became the "go to" makeup artist and hair designer on many local and national television commercials. She has worked with many A list celebrities as well as sports stars while working on tv and major motion pictures. In 1991 she opened Hala Hair and Makeup Design studio in the Lakeview district and quickly became the leading Aveda concept salon in Birmingham. In 2008 she moved her business to the quaint Forest Park area of Birmingham and in 2017 moved to her cozy and warm new home at 2915 Crescent Avenue, Homewood, Alabama 35209.
